Trouble with ICS on Win ME - won't allow me to have more than 1 network adapter.

I just got my cable modem service up and running, and its on my downstairs comp now. I used ot share my dial-up connection with no problems through the "server" computer to the others.

I use phoneline networking (specifically netgear PA301) cards to connect all my computers, and as of now I am connecting to the cable modem through a generic ethernet card (i;ve tried more than one.) I currently have the phoneline card out.

This is because when I have both cards in, i can neither connect to the internet nor connect to my computers. When i have just the phoneline card in, I can connect to the network perfectly, When iI have just the ethernet card in, I can connect to the Internet fine. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hope someone can help you out on this as I had exactly the same problem. What seems to happen the system gets confused as to which network card to use for what and always chooses the wrong one. I finally gave up and got a Linksys router for 50 bucks, saves a ton of headaches.
