Trouble importing messages in OE6

I recently got a new computer and want to move all of my e-mail messages from the old computer to the new computer. I moved the .dbx files to a CD-R and am now trying to import these to the new computer. It keeps saying that the importation was successful but the folders do not show up in OE. Is there some trick to this? Why would Microsoft make this so difficult?
