If only there was a way to look up where movies are playing...

Is Tron Legacy worth seeing in non-3d?
No, IMAX will be 3D only. You could find a regular theater showing it in non-3D Im sure though.
While I'm generally anti-3D, this is one where they actually planned it on being 3D from the get-go rather than using the awful post-processing effect to do it. Also, the entire movie isn't in 3D, it goes 3D once Sam goes into the grid.
The film is a Fleshlight. It looks like the real thing, and it might get you off, but it is plastic, phony, and utterly soulless.
Doubtful you can't see it in IMAX 3d [but I sure as hell am going too try when it's cheap]
On that note - why isn't SciFi or Disney showing the original TRON to hype up the already HYPE like other sequels or remakes?![]()
I've heard Disney is actually warehousing copies of Tron and not letting them be shipped out b/c they are worried the old effects will turn people off from seeing the new one.
Might just be an internet rumor though.
Maybe your eyes are set too close to each other, so their calibration for what is "3D" is not what your mind is used to......
I think it is a waste of $$ anyway. Until they charge less and it becomes commonplace, it is just not worth having things made to deliberately seem like they are flying out at you....
Maybe if they made it less obvious it would be more like watching a play or something. Less concious that you are watching a 3D flik.... (and less eyestrain if your DOF is not so extreme.....)
Is Tron Legacy worth seeing in non-3d?
fx are the least of the issues with the original tron, it was written by people who admittedly knew jacksh*t about technology.
