So on break today there was a conversation about Donald Sterling and the various other celebrity controversies over comments about race, sexual preference, etc. and this one guy says "Having an opinion doesn't make you a racist or a bigot, it just means that you don't a certain group of people". Normally I wouldn't get involved in conversations like this, but I couldn't resist. So in my typical sarcastic and dry demeanor; I chimed in with "Yeah everybody thinks Hitler was this bigoted hateful monster; but if you read up on your history, you'll find that we was just a very opinionated individual and he didn't hate anyone at all".

At first he just had a blank stare for a brief moment, and then he shook his head and agreed with me, and that's when everybody busted out laughing.

He's missing the point. "Racist" or "Bigot" are just words to describe people with specific opinions.

Did they really burst out laughing? Or was it more of an awkward "Ha ha" followed by everyone going back to their cubes?

Did you see Levi was saying to do just that to "save the planet?"

Wow, his reasoning was to extend the life of the jeans. The environment bit was just a positive side effect. You guys already spinning this into some sort of eco-kook type comment?
