Trojan Pwnage

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiti...9650&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines

McKnight signed a national letter of intent with USC on Wednesday and made comments during a news conference that seemed to suggest communications involving former Trojan Reggie Bush, who is now with the New Orleans Saints.

While the rule seems a tad extreme from an average person's standpoint, rules are rules, and I hope an investigation takes place.

I do want to see an exact quote of what he said though, and while I'm guessing nothing further will come of this, this isn't the best way to get a start at SC for this kid.

Nothing, absolutely nothing would please me more if action were taken against USC..😀

Action may be taken because of Bush's dealings while still at school...then again USC is the NCAA's current golden boy so nothing may happen

Ironic that the alleged communications were regarding the possibility of USC facing sanctions over alleged previous Bush improprieties. 😀

NCAA recruitment rules are insane.

I freaking hate the NCAA. They made us change our school mascot cause it was offensive to indians, when we had the two tribes in our behind us telling the NCAA that it was done very respectful and they approved.

Yeah you cant have anything realted to Indians without having a full time Native American coach, 10% faculty have to be Native America, and have a department of Native American studies. Im guess that is so only Flordia State can ever meet those requirements.

We need an emoticon of me flipping of the stupid NCAA

Yup. My best female friend is a rowing coach (or rather, graduate assistant who doesn't get paid like a coach but has to abide by all rules as a coach). She can't be seen or have contact with her rowers, and if they happen to come into the same restaurant or bar as she is, she has to immediately leave and cannot talk or even *look* at her rowers.

She was almost disciplined because she had her picture put up on the wall at a local restaurant (as in a mural) which is a huge deal. They gave her a coupon for a free meal and she almost got fined because of it. It's ridiculous.

Exactly. If this provides future negativity to the program, there will be certain players who considered SC that will move to UCLA. That is, the crowd that is from California, and wants to either stay in or go to Los Angeles.

While the elite status of SC is far ahead of LA, there are some cross shoppers of both schools that may benefit the Bruins because of this..

Miami Ohio Redskins...er... Redhawks? Yeah I thought that was ridiculous. I have relatives that are Illinois alum that actually talk about how it degrades the Native American image. What crap. When you're more upset than the tribe you need to back off the pc bullcrap, do some heavy drinking and actually go to one of the games.

The only pwnage is by USC to the rest of the schools in the NCAA. Nothing will come from this or Bush's family getting a free luxury house from an agent.

I never thought this was against recruiting rules. So...all of those recruits that MJ nabbed for UNC over the last 2 decades are accountable as well? Yeah right....

What that makes zero sense. She can not be seen with her rowers? how does she coach then? Or how does she or any coach discipline students who are failing?

Yep. USC is drawing in too much money for the NCAA to do anything to them. USC players would have to be shooting other players on the field (ala Last Boy Scout) before the NCAA would take action.

Nothing would make me happier then to see USC fall into a pit of rules violations and scholarship restrictions, not to mention lose a star recruit like McKnight, but I think what happened here was taken out of context a little and nothing will happen to anybody. It's nice to see Reggie Bush getting his school in trouble again though, still counting the days here until that Heisman is given to it's rightful owner.

and ND could still not beat them (even with a bunch of key players kicked off the team) 😛

Watch out, Jimmy Clausen's gonna give it to them for the next 4 years now.. hopefully in terms of pwnage and not INT's. 😛
