TROJAN HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am trying to help a friend rid himself of every Trojan under the sun to no avail. I've run TDS 3 , Trojan Hunter, every antivirus tool i can find as well as Spybot S&D Adaware SE you name it.
I got rid of all the viruses, a worm, and evey tool bar god ever thought of, but can't get rid of 26 trojans. The moron can't find his disk and bought a proprietary machine so needs an OS to reinstall. I'm sure not giving him mine. Any Free apps for trojans out there that work?

Could you provide more detail about what happens when you try to remove the 26 trojans? If the computer's protected by a hardware firewall, then you could try rebooting in Safe Mode With Networking and go to Panda's, McAfee's and Symantec's free online scanners. Also, disable System Restore and get rid of all the SR files, or they may come right back.

just put your windows xp disc into the drive reboot and reformat that will fix everything

He doesn't have a legit copy to use on his friend's computer and his friend lost the OS disk.... so I'd say try to write down the file names, use a Windows 98 Startup disk or 98SE CD, and boot into pure DOS, then use DOS commands to delete the offending files 😀
