eBay Link

When this thing was first announced it sparked some good debate on the forum. Now someone can buy it and put it to the test....

its up to over $30k and the reserve still isn't met, lol
it only started at $1200?

private listing - bidders' identities protected shows for every bidder. that sucks.

"Troy Hurtubises latest innovation required 1800 hours and 150,000.00 dollars "

he has quite a few bids to go until he makes this "good $$$" you speak of

I doubt it cost anywhere near what the quote. This guy is a NUT. He claims to have invented a device that renders the stealth coating visible to radar ASWELL as making regular objects invisible....

read the info. doesn't come with the shadow armor, only the recipe for making it.

The guy has zero reviews, why so many bids?

To me that does not prove his identity that he is Troy Hurtubise... I mean I can make a eBay ID that says troyhurtubise20940 but does not prove that I am him... this is just what I am thinking.

Also that suit looks like ****** and would not protect you aganist a shot... but I am just guessing.

EDIT: This was found on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troy_Hurtubise

To fund demonstrations of his Firepaste and 1313 paste in summer 2004, Troy sold the Ursus Mark VII on eBay.

Yet the ebay link from the OP says

Seller: troyhurtubisecanada( 0 )
Member: since 05-Feb-07 in Canada

So if he sold something on eBay in 2004 why not use the same eBay account when selling the trojan suit in 2007?

I'm calling BS on this auction for one word

"Armor"

Troy is Canadian - armour is spelled incorrectly.

That is him.

There was an article on that exact suit about a month or two ago.

He created that suit, and was trying to sell it to the marines. He claimed that it withstood bullets, and was very mobile. It has like a billion little gadgets and features. Apparently the military didn't buy into it.

(This is also the guy that made the bear suit and was hit by a car to prove it worked I believe)

Too bad he doesn't have more money. He can't even patent any of his design, or attempt to market it.
