i just saw casino royale and i gotta say the opening sequence (the one with the fighting silhouettes and cards and stuff) is really trippy (but in a good way!)

i've seen some of the other bond movies, but i don't recall them ever having such a creative opener.

what do you guys think?

I haven't seen Casino Royale, but what you describe is similar to other Bond openings, minus the cards.

The other bond movies had pretty interesting opening sequences (mostly full of teh sexay ladies), but Casino Royale was definitely my favorite in that and every other regard.

Excellent movie

I know! That was like the most memorable part of the movie. I want the DVD just for that animated sequence.

You must've not seen any of the original/old Bond flicks. They all have those trippy opening sequences. Usually reddish-tinted/pinhole camera view, naked girl silhouettes, melting gel type deals.
