Triport Headphones for YoYo $119.99 woot.com

I made the horrible mistake of getting these a couple of years ago for $150, boy did i wish i didnt. That was one of the biggest wastes of money ever. Use your money for something worthwhile.

While i typically dislike bose, i've actually heard fairly good things about the Triport.

The only good things I've heard about the Triports are their INCREDIBLE comfort, quite possibly one of the most comfortable cans out there.

They are not that comfortable but more importantly, the build quality is quite low--you'll be lucky to have these for a year. The sound is not bad but in typical Bose fashion, it is euphonic rather than accurate. There is nothing wrong with that. If you've never heard good sound and are enamored with the Bose name, you would think you just made a good purchase. There are a lot of pretenders out there and I'm not sure why Bose has to be on the receiving end of all the invectives.

anyone know if they have changed the triports since their original release? they've been $150 at bestbuy for like 6 years

I have a pair that I use too. They are comfortable, and they do a good job of blocking out external noise because of the ear cups. In my mind they do live up to a lot of the claims, but they aren't all that powerful, especially in the lows. I don't think they're worth the $150, but $100...maybe...probably more like $75 though. I got them as a gift.

How about the HD580 for $108 at digitallyunique? It will kill these garbage sounding Triports.

Very good, but you'll need an amp.

How wrong

how is it wrong? dont you tell me you are using them without proper amplification, and be ready for some huge surprises if you are.
