Triplex Millennium Silver Ti4600 card, WOW!!!

Holy moly! That has to be the most expensive Ti4600 right there.:Q That said, I want one.😀 It just looks too cool to pass on.🙂

Yep, it does come in that case. It is just like ever other GeForce 4 Ti4600. Card manufacturers have to keep to a certain standard from nVidia when packaging a graphics card, so they pretty much perform the same.

Not sure about triplex. I looked one of there GF3 Ti200 cards. The card looks ok and is cheapest in WA however I am concerned with being able to update the latest drivers for thier cards. I looked up the Triplex web site and could not find a link to download or a mention of any latest drivers unlike leadtek, asus etc.

Let me know if you can find download any latest drivers for these cards. I would hate to buy these cards where I could not download patches and upgrades??

trueblue, with Nvidia cards you never have to worry about driver support. Just go to Nvidia.com and get the latest detonator drivers.

Nike did this with some of their shoes...sold em in a case instead of a normal box...added $50+ to the cost.

No thanks.

Whats that about silver PCB dissipating heat better??? Is that a normal PCB or some special stuff???
So this card overclocks better eh... (or runs hotter overall🙂

So it's silver and comes in a fancy case. I can spraypaint a pcb and put it in a silver case and sell it for another couple of C-notes too.
Want to buy one? I'm taking pre-orders now 😉

Unless they did something revolutionary with it, it hasn't changed and not to mention it's going to be old by the time it gets out.

they really don't, they just stick to the reference design because its cheaper than making your own.

do you have to put the back ramsinks on yourself?

ElFenix, I really wasn't talking about sticking to the reference design, but nVidia still has some standards on how their cards can be built. The manufacturers have to have ram that can do the specified speed. That is why evga couldn't make their cards with a higher clock speed like they wanted to, although some how Gainward gets away with the turbo option. Graphic card manufacturers have a sricter set of rules than motherboard manufacturers, for example. If you look at a comparison of all the GeForce 4 Ti4600's, they all have very, very similar performance. I don't see why Triplex would be any different.

That case would only have one good use, to collect dust after the video card gets put in my computer. I'm not going to pay extra for that.

According to http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/, it costs $416 (us dollars). By comparison, an Asus 4600 costs $458, and the Leadtek one costs $421. It's not that much of a difference.
Actually the price comes out to $429 regular price and $472 pre-order price. This would look sweet with the soyo SY-KT333 DRAGON Ultra (Platinum Edition).

Mustiso thanks for clearing that up for me I wasn't sure if that was the case or not. I am new to building and I am still in the leanring curve.

There is one question in regards to what you said. Do the later graphic cards ever get compatability problems with certain types of software/hardware that are fitted to a computer that are caused by the way the specific manufacturer puts the together the card but not necessarily the nvidia chip (Iam not talking physical fitting problems I am talking electronic conflict). If this is the case how do the graphic card companyies get around this problem if they have no download support site like Triplex??

By the way here is a review on the triplex card Here
