You know I never understand why people get these triple stands. The side monitors can happily stand on the desk themselves and its not hard to get them aligned. The quad and above you have little choice, but 3 monitors seems like mostly a waste of money.

There's no way that stand will fit 3x 30' widescreen monitors. The product description says the dimensions at 50.4'. It'll be a little less than half of the monitor on either side hanging over, but it would still be wider (that doesn't even include the bezel). 3x 30' with a 3:4 aspect ratio might fit

I get got my stands from:
http://www.tykesupply.com/Products-Triple_Monitor_Stands.html
But I don't think they make ones for 30'.

All that being said I'd have to agree that wall mounts might be your best option. When you see size requirements assuming it'll fix the width, you have to worry about height and weight at that point

Frees up desk space where the stand would be. Also sometimes the stock stand can suck. Either not being able to tilt enough or just being unstable.

Holy cow!! I am hoping you just accidently used ' in place of ", because 3 30' monitors would be 90 feet of monitor!! Maybe you could have your own drive in? :p

The reason people buy stands like this is because the only way you can get proper alignment on the normal monitor stand is with the panels vertical to the desk or with them aligned as a flat plane. Any tilt at all on a non flat plane and you end up with gaps at the top or bottom, there simply isn't any way around it.

Three monitors locked on a triple arm, however, can be tilted and raised/lowered as a unit while reducing the desk footprint.

A couple things you have to keep in mind with these - They really are not designed for huge displays like 30". I have three 27's on an ergotron arm and previously had a 20/30/20 setup. The 20/30/20 setup BARELY fit - I was within a few mm of the end of the arm on each side. Three 30's in landscape is an absolute no go. You could probably do it in portrait, my three 27's fit with plenty of room to spare in portrait (6+ inches on both sides). I did my research very carefully when I originally bought my stand and it still barely fit.

Second, the weight becomes a problem. You can adjust the tension on my stand but even maxed out it's barely suitable.

Another reason is that a single monitor stand takes up less much real-estate on the desk. Which is also a good argument for a wall-mounted stand, if it works in your setup.
