Does anyone have more details about the machine used for testing? ODM? Expected availability?

1600 x 900, eSATa and 14" surely make it look like a contender to be my next machine. Make it 13.3" and I am totally sold.

Edit: On the review itself, not bad, not bad at all.

So if you're going to keep posting stuff like that I'd advise you to back it up with some figures otherwise it is, much like every post with respect to Trinity and anything mobile related you've ever tossed on Anandtech, just hot air. So please, enlighten us with some wisdom other than personal statements.

The difference between synthetic DX11 and game-based DX11 benchmarks is far too big in some games to ignore and looks to be driver related rather than the game playing architectural favorites, particularly Metro2033.

I'm not sure how HD4000 does as far as image quality is concerned when compared to Llano/Trinity. The HD3000 has its own issues that still haven't been ironed out via driver updates.

Typing this on an i3 SB with HD3000, I can personally vouch for comparatively poor IQ as well as drivers, particularly where gaming is concerned -- which is essentially nonexistent on HD3000 unless you're playing some very old games.

Again, we can't make any true comparisons with respect to price-to-performance until we see some i5 and i3 IBs and the both architectures start shipping out.

Quarter-to-quarter market share went up and year-to-year market share went up. Keep in mind this is overall x86 mobile market share as well, so the sales figures for AMD would look even more impressive. Clearly customers are choosing better IGP over CPU performance and are buying the better IGP low-cost options like Llano. Whether Trinity will follow suit with driver maturity and lower prices remains to be seen, but AMD made no secret that they planned on undercutting Intel Ivy Bridge so that's likely to continue along with the increase in mobile market share.

If you've got proof otherwise please post it otherwise you're spreading FUD.

A 45W Trinity would be able to have higher CPU and iGPU frequencies. That would translate in to higher performance. It would be able to switch to a higher frequency Turbo mode thus increasing performance even more.

A 35W IB Core i5 has less LLC(L3) and perhaps lower iGPU frequencies (not more than 100-150MHz) than 45W Core i7. That translates in to lower iGPU performance even thought it has the same iGPU shader count.
As Inteluser2000 have shown, a 35W SB is 10-20% slower in Games than 45W SB.

We have to wait and see if the same happens with IB. I believe we will see the same behavior.

So to re cop, a 35W Trinity could be more than 30-50% faster in games than 35W IB on average.

If we can't compare why did you grab the SB image . Ats ivb article has the IVB pic of same thing . you people are good at showing SB when its IVB and trinity were comparring

Hay its intels projections not mine . Intel has told us straight ever since intels first igp sharred die space with cpu . This is intels 3rd generation and their bitting on AMDs tail. Intel didn't have to spend $5. 5 billion for ATI to get their either. You people talk like AMD has accomplished something . LOL the only thing AMD did was trade there fabs off to buy ATI . Not a good smart move. I was thinking more 560ti speeds

So overall the GPU isn't too great compared to HD4000, but it is way better in the one game I care about (Civ 5). Hopefully A10 laptops will come in cheaper than IVB+GT640 laptops.

I agree with the first part of this sentiment, but not that it was a bad idea to purchase ATI. Because their engineering ability is so second rate compared to intel, what would they have to hang their hat on had they not bought ATI? Graphics performance is the only thing they have and had they not bought ATI they would be in worse shape today I think (even though they overpaid for ATI) Then they had the colossal efffup that was ditching their smartphone/mobile tech for pennies.

Lets face it, AMD fucked up with Trinity. No big surprise since they continued the Dulldozer flop. -20% CPU, 20% GPU approx.

Piledover is another pile of crap. Those waiting for the next FX processor to magically perform waits in vain...again.

so you concede your previous point that intels estimation wasn't off then on hd2000 vs 4000? we know haswell igp is supposed to have 40 EU's so based on what we have now it doesn't sound unreasonable at least in something like Vantage that is shader bound.
