Trinitron monitor owners......

There are 2 black lines that go across my Sony GDM-F520, is there anyway of getting rid of those lines? The Sony manual says that it's normal. I've seen a couple at work and they have the lines also. It kinda sucks if that's normal.

Yup, it's normal. No way to get rid of it, it's what's holding up the screen.

Those line are to keep the AG stable, once you get used to then you don't even see them anymore

Who cares... you only see them when you stare at them... especially in a white background... but i think it's worth it just for the sharpness and brightness.

Yep, I own a few Trinitrons. I don't even notice the lines anymore unless I look for them.

They all have those small lines. I rarely notice them anymore.

I have the F520 too, have you tried it with Windows XP with the ClearType fonts?

The clearity of text are simply amazing.

I haven't tried it with XP. When I use the "Picture Effect Button" and click professional, that's when the text is most clear. Does it apply for u too?

Take an eraser and rub them out.
























They are normal, I never even notice mine anymore.
