Win 7 on a Intel 40GB HD supporting Trim on one of my PCs. I'm a Trim dummy, What's it do?, what do I have to do? Thanks.

This is a utility for SSDs. Visit the Memory and Storage forum and it is discussed all over the place.

You don't have to "do" anything. Windows 7 will automatically send TRIM commands when you delete files (assuming you're using a supporting driver; which at this point is the default MS driver and the Intel RST driver).

You can also do a manual TRIM of the entire LBA space with a utility.
