TRIM question w/ PCIe SATA controller

If I use a PCIe SATA controller, can Win7 still pass TRIM to an SSD that is plugged in to that controller?
 
I believe its possible, but that is not to say every controller will work. quality ones which support AHCI should be fine, if configured right. Which one did you have in mind?
