so i use trillian, and i have tabbed messaging enabled (group contact windows together of the same group). but one thing i've noticed is that people who aren't in a group (that is, not added to my buddy list because i only have one group) that try to message me don't create a new window when my status is not cleared. so when i am away, or if i was somehow disconnected in one of my connections, i will not be notified of a new message from someone who isn't added. however, if i go to the window menu in the main trillian window, it will display all conversations (including those i am not notified of).

1. i use trillian + group window by contact group (tabbed windows basically)
2. if i am away and someone who is not on my buddy list messages me, a window will not open for them (but i can access it through trillian's main menu)
3. i miss out on people trying to talk to me 🙁
