Trillian moderators dumb or just plain stupid?

Mods like that exist on every less established forum and deserve to be shotgunned wholesale. AT mods seem to at least be mature enough to take occasional abuse from us.
 
Actually, I fail to see the problem with the moderator here. The Moderator was doing his job and he was polite and respectful until the user became irritable and got cocky. My sympathies lie with the Moderator on this one.

Their not going to have good mods til they pay them the big bucks. Like what AT mods get, along with thier health and dental of course.

The mod's point that he had to take action because someone was made uncomfortable is B.S. I could piss and moan about anything I want and the mods won't do anything unless it's a legitimate complaint. It was not a legitimate complaint because, as was pointed out, anyone with an image in their sig is automatically logging everyone else's IP addresses. Who really cares anyway? Your IP address is not private information.

The problem was not that the guy refused to remove his sig. The banning did not have anything to do with the sig. The banning was the appropriate result from the guy's attitude problem.

Eh... He did remove the sig, he changed it to "FEAR." He did have a bit of an attitude about it, but it's no worse than everyone with the Unban HappyPuppy sigs here. 🙂

Did you just imply that the mods are Nazis for banning you for implying they're Nazis?
 
The code is just a simple PHP script which uses the referrer information available to any script. The only tricky part was putting a nice "wrapper" around it using GD and TTF graphics. I'm not recording anything nobody else isnt and the signature does over 1,000,000 impressions a day - other than being amazed at how much it is used, I have no interst in peoples IP information.

all those mods were just regular forum ppl back when trillian was in beta, but they hung around a lot and kissed lots of tail end and now they are all moderators. unfortunately they mostly suck at being mods. i've seen some serious power tripping over there tho.
