i can't connect with .722. It claims that it is connected, but the buddylist won't come up and i don't show up as online for other people.

That's because it's not actually connected. It's probably connecting, but getting a flap error.

On the Trillian site there hasn't been much info on a solution so I would find another option for now.

OK, this is really pissing me off. I can't connect with Trillian, AND I can't connect with AIM. I've gone so far as to UNINSTALL Trillian, but AOL is still being a little bitch & won't connect.

From the last time they blocked, I had to wait about 20-30 minutes before I could use AIM again.. Arg.. Trillian is so much better than AIM. :|

It looks like they have been "punishing" people who don't use their software. :|

using 0.722...it says that i'm connected to AIM successfully, but my contact lists won't load up, says everyone's offline...then it disconnects....damn AOL....

For what?

I read something on the Trillian message board that said a fix is almost ready, and that the reason it is taking so long is that they had to make some major changes instead of a quick bug fix.

Dsmn that company for blocking the use of a client that they get no revenue from! What kind of business practice is that? I mean....oh, wait...

Ok heres how to get it to work at least for the time being...

1) Open the AIM webpage (www.aim.com) and point yourself to the list of chat rooms they have.
2) Start the AIM connection process through Trillian. At this point, if everyone's having consistent issues with the connection, you should manage to connect and have the ability to send IMs but see no buddy list.
3) After you are connected but before you get Flapped off, connect yourself to one of the chat rooms. The link should open a chat automatically in Trillian. It was just after I did so and got into the chat room that my contact list came back on, and I've been connected ever since.

it opened up the chat window in trillian...my contact list didn't come up tho and the chat stayed connected for about 30 seconds before getting disconnected again 🙁...oh well...
