Mine has been working fine. Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall?

Are you running any special plug-ins?
 
apparently it is my peer guardian list blocking it... but I can't figure out why... the IP that it connects to isn't among the block list, but if I disable PG, it is good again. 😕

Can anyone verify the Y!Messenger IP ? From netstat, I have cs12.msg.dcn.yahoo.com = 216.155.193.139 ... anyone have a different address ?
 
^ duh, found it... it was blocking all of Yahoo... 216.155.192.0 - 216.155.207.255
