bah last time checked aim it took about 13mb too.. more then icq oddly enough. bloated.

if you'd install a icq, aim, msn, yahoo and an irc client, i'm sure you'd have more memory usage than that

anyone know how to make the conversation windows transparant by default?

just a fyi, but you can make the main window transparant by right clicking on the name trillian at the top of the window, then click advanced options, and then set the transparancy setting.

Just right click, and choose advanced options. Works for chat windows and buddy list.

I never saw the point of transparency. It just gets all confusing. Youre not reading more than one thing at once, so why make it transparent? Do you really look through it?

according to the forums this seems to only happen when you unload and reload it. if you load it fresh off a reboot it only takes like ~7mb. either way, it's less than running aim & icq & msn & y! all seperate. the new version is pretty sweet, now if i could only use the tiny trillian skin i'd be completely happy.

I have been using Trillian forever! This new version is great, I love it!!!

It's costing me 6.5 megs now on icq/msn/y!.

I HATE how it has it's own emoticons and there is no way to tell which ones will work on which medium. That truly sucks ass.

On the plus finally the messages are only to sys tray just like old school ICQ. I have always disliked how yahoo and msn make their own taskbar window. This is far more discreet.


EDIT: OMFG transparency IS AWESOME. How do I get this damn prog to stay always on top? it's checked but not working.
