trillian 2.0 beta anyone?

Yep Im liking it, the new (version 2) reaease a few days ago fixed up a lot of the bugs. Still a few, but I'm liking it. 😎

I think the thing I like the most is the advanced events options. You can set tons of custom events for tons of stuff. Very cool.

On an old install of Windows XP, I upgraded from 1.0 Pro (with the C patch or whatever) to 2.0 beta without problems. With a fresh install of windows, I installed 1.0 Pro, the C patch (or whatever it is), then the 2.0 Pro upgrade and now all I get are errors that say "Trillian has encountered a problem and needs to close" with the option to tell Microsoft about it or not.

I dunno what's going on. I'm going to try an uninstall then reinstall each thing with a reboot in between to see if each one works. I want my Trillian! 🙁

yep, a lot more stable than beta 1. It's definitely cooler than version 1. 😀

I'm still running 0.74 :-/

but I have yet to have 1 error message while running it. It does everything I need it to! 🙂

Hmm, it's actually stable? Maybe I'll give it a try then...I was thinking of staying away from it as a beta, but if it's that good, why not try it?

Can you explain what features you like more, besides the events.

The events stuff wasn't even new in v2 beta. All that stuff was in v1.

As for a good feature in v2. One word... Metacontacts

names for the same people on each network (msn, icq, etc...) can be grouped under one 'Metacontact' name. No more clogged lists of duplicates.

D'oh, sounds good.

Still no linux version though. 🙁

right click on any name, click add, click 'create metacontact' and next, go from there

*... once a metacontact is created for someone, you can either add names through that menu or just drag and drop more names into it
