Trillian 0.725 released......

Dl now here...... http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/download.html

<< 21 February 2002 - Trillian 0.725 Released!

This latest release fixes the recent AOL outage and a few other things. We've also improved auto-update a bit more; we can now trigger download notifications on a per-DLL basis.

Going forward, Cerulean Studios is committed to maintaining interoperability across all major IM networks. We will continue to work hard and pursue the necessary avenues to keep this a reality. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you out there supporting us! Many of you have gone out of your way to express your enthusiasm and support for Trillian; it is without doubt you folks who keep the ball rolling. Thanks.

- The Cerulean Studios Team.

BTW, they finally got some mirrors so their site doesn't go down when a few thousand people try to dl the update at the same time. 😉

<< Trillian Sux. You spend more time downloading updates for the prog than you do using it. >>

maybe you're downloading from the wrong place... it took me a few seconds.

> Trillian Sux.

Aww, the classic thread crap. That didn't take long now did it? Don't like it? Fine don't use it, just don't enter the thread about it either 😉

yeah and the latest ICQ release isn't bloated at all

duh

AOL is working great here with .075. I probably would be getting frustrated with Trillian if I used AOL a lot, but lucky almost all of my friends know better! 🙂

I'm always surprised and puzzled by people who take the time to thread-crap to root for AOL (or any other big company) over a little company trying to stick it to them. It just doesn't make sense! Are you guys facists or something? Don't you know it's more fun to root for the underdog? Don't you know that AOL/TW is about the ultimate in UNCOOL (at least MS has some good technology). I'm sorry, but it's just weird...

loved using trillian but I got tired of downloading the updates and getting blocked from AIM... everyone around here uses it and sometimes when I really needed it I couldn't get on. I hope AOL gives up soon on this whole blocking thing cuz i'd like to go back and use trillian again... damn 56k 🙁

As long as Trillian keeps providing updates, I'll keep using it. I hate AOL and their bloatware crap, and the fact that I recieved about 20 CD's from them in a 2 month period. That didn't really go down well with me either.

... and let the cycle begin once again.
AOL just kicked me. I'm using 0.725

They're getting quick

edit: I reconnected and have been on for 14 minutes now.. They kicked me after only 4 minutes the first time.. hmm..

-patchy

I think Trillian's cool...too bad most people I know are on AOL instant messenger. 🙁

It's really frustrating that I can't use Trillian without first downloading the daily patch!

AOL sucks ass, and anyone who says otherwise just enjoys peeling the labels off those DVD cases. You cheapskates! 😀 😛

Trillian is the one and only IM software I install and use. I refuse to use bloatware full of spyware and advertisements.
