Trig question: Answered, thanks.

I have a little book (not a text book) on Trig I got for reviews. The thing is, I don't remember what a squared trig function is. I mean something like:

csc² or sin².

Anyone care to help me out?

Exactly what he said. Basically, it is shorthand for the second notation shown below:

sin²(x) = [sin(x)]² = sin(x) * sin(x)

EDIT: Forgot there was no HTML.

Man, this crap is easy. Just plug in formulas.

This is why I struggled with calculus. I didn't know sin from cos from arc tan.
