Seriously, those things are stupid. The inventor claims a year before the release that every home will have one, and yet, I could buy a used motorcycle for that price.

Who says that still won't happen? They didn't claim it was going to be an overnight success. But i can see this being real popular in 10-20 years when prices really do drop.
Especially since in 10-20 years 3/4 of the population will be so fat they can't walk.

I think you mean 3/4 of the American population.....

If I saw someone riding one of these I'd laugh and point at them. But, secretly in my head I know that I'd probably enjoy one if it were given to me for free 😀

I'm still not really sure why this item should take off when you can already buy an electric scooter for a fraction of the price. What's the benefit?

Electric scooters don't have built in gyrosomethingorothers that help prevent the balance challenged from falling over.

So the Segway CAN NEVER fall or lose balance even if the user tries to? NEVER? I find that impossible. I'm pretty sure I could do something stupid on it to make it fall.

you have inspired my new sig...
oh and by the way, I too think your an egotistical materialistic prick constructed mainly of dog vomit and toothpicks...
