You're starting with the premise that 666 means anything at all. As far as the odds go... I imagine they're pretty good when analyzing history. That gives one the luxury of cherry picking data to get the "correct" end result.

I bet there's a conspiracy, or religious site somewhere that mentions it. Not sure it's worth looking for. They're kind of fun to read for about five minutes, but their shtick is so implausible, it takes the fun out of conspiracies. To enjoy a conspiracy, I require some semblance of reality, even if it has to stretched paper thin.

It does mean something though. It's very likely a code in Greek for the Roman emperor Nero.
