For any of you who actually care, somebody from CitiBank called me this morning asking me to confirm my address, social and the name of my company. Does this increase or decrease my chances?

WTF still no decision???

Haha the guy wouldn't tell me if i was rejected or accepted. All he wanted to do was confirm all the info i filled out online...kinda weird.

Then call them right now and ASK!

1-800-950-5114 press 0# a few times, tell them you applied a week ago and want to know what the decision is?

Damn I wish I could conference call you in and ask them point blank "is the credit decision approved or declined?" or "what further information do you need or verification"?

Haha i did ask all of those things when the guy called me. I asked if there was any additional info I could provide and then I asked them if they had a decision. He gave me the "we'll inform you in 7-10 days" line. I'll try calling them right now, i'll let them know that if they plan to reject me that they can go ahead and cancel RossMAN's card. ;)

Please let us know what the answer is.

Sometimes if you are declined they don't want to face an awckward situation so they might give you the run around. So if you call with the attitude, "I'm probably declined which is ok I just want to know either way". You'll have a better chance of getting an upfront answer.

Tried calling, they told me i needed to wait at least 2 weeks without a response before calling back. I guess i'll try being patient for a little. By the way, for those of you who have applied and want to know your results, the number is 800-717-4268.

Just got my card in the mail today! So i guess there's hope for those of us who don't get "instantly approved." Thanks for all the advise/comments/suggestions in this thread.

I build up a $5500 credit limit on my Capital One card before I ever got a full time job, so i was hoping to get a higher limit. Oh well.

If you use it and make ON TIME PAYMENTS, after 1 year you can probably increase to $4,500 - $5,500
