You did get an instant responseOriginally posted by: LakerGod
The site said that there would be an instant response when you reply, instead I got the "we'll send you an answer in 30 days." Does that usually mean it's a rejection?

Usually it means you're declined but sometimes you can still get approved.
I would wait until 24 BUSINESS HOURS after you have applied then call them at 1-800-950-5114.

That sucks, i've had a credit card for 6 years and i've never made a late payment. I just started working out of college.
How will calling help? Will it just get me the quicker response or is there something I can do to help my case?

Calling won't help unless they need clarification on something. Calling will however give you a faster decision than waiting 2-3 weeks for a letter to arrive. Unless you like waiting?

I applied for that one....I was declined because I didn't have a land-based phone line .
I said FU Citibank and applied for a Chase Ultimate Rewards Platinum card and got it with no problems...then a few months later, I got an envelope with the Citibank card in it anyway![]()

What the hell?! I put in my cell number where it asked for a 'home phone'. Why is having a landline so important? You think that could be a reason why i'd be declined??

I don't have a landline either (I used my cell phone number when I applied).

What does this card do special?
http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/cardserv/divplat/index.jsp
- It's CitiBank.
- VISA and MasterCard are more widely accepted than Amex and Discover are.
- The usual VISA or MasterCard card benefits including FREE 1 year extended warranty.
- $0 annual fee.
- 0% APR balance transfer for 12 months
- Low interest rate if you have decent credit.
- Nice online banking interface with the ability to make same day payments for free.
- If you have $1500 to spare for 6 months, you can get $150 for free if you agree to billpay.
- CitiBank Virtual Account Numbers rocks, one time use cc's (like Amex used to have)
- 5% rebate on gas, grocery store and drug store purchases
- 1% rebate on all other purchases
- Because I fscking said so!
How do you go about claiming the extra one year warranty? File claim with manufacturer or Citi?
Also, you forgot online virtual credit card numbers with $ and time limit![]()

You sure it work if you already have a EZ checking account with them? I only ask you this because you are the Grand Nagus and I assumed you already got in on either the IPod deal or the earlier $200.
