OK, I have a windows trivia question that I want to see If anyone can answer. I'll post the answer a little later on.

I want you to lock your windows workstation using only the mouse (no keyboard)
you must use only the tools included with a default install of windows, no 3rd party utils or anything.
<edit> not using a screen saver </edit>
this is possible it's no trick question
I'm sure many of you will find this easy.

good luck
please post your solutions.

Right click on the taskbar and choose task manager. Then choose shutdown from the top menu and click on the appropriate action with locks the computer. Of course this is for XP, I assume it is the same as 2000

Password protect a screen saver and don't move your mouse until it comes on. Then move your mouse and the password prompt ("This computer is locked.") will pop up.

Okay, I got it. If you have a touch screen computer, you can enable the on screen keyboard. Once enabled, you can turn on the on-screen keyboard then use that with your mouse to type in your password.

Create a new shortcut on your desktop using a right mouse click, and enter 'rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation' in the location field. Just double click on it and your computer will be locked.

My bad. I didn't see that you needed to lock it. I thought you wanted to unlock it after it was locked. I didn't say you needed a touch screen, I meant to say you could enable the on screen keyboard just like you could or would if you had a touch screen.

Type in that command in the run from the start bar and type it in using the character map

You use the onscreen keyboard from Accessibility. I knew it was something like that, I just didn't remember the command and I'm not in the mood right now to look. :| BTW, XP is suck.

how do you enter 'rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation' without the keyboard?

dnetmhz only stated that you can't use the keyboard to LOCK your workstation, like by using CTRL+ALT+DEL. By typing out "'rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation" you are not locking your workstation.

EDIT:
Ah whatever... what i get huh?
