The company I work for put out a notice for this virus today. It said that Norton Antivirus can't scan a password protected file so the scanner wont detect it initially. It did say if you have the latest updates installed that Norton will catch the virus when you try and open the file.

Got an e-mail from SBCGlobal last night saying the attached e-mail was scanned by their virus scan and a virus was found. They said they had removed the virus and that if I wanted to view the attachment I should ask the sender to clean the e-mail and resend it. Pretty proud of my ISP right now!!!

hey, ppls still open unknown attachments, so offcourse this one will spread much less, I mean, they actually have to do more than click (or is the pass never asked ?, dunno havent gotten it yet)

It boggles the mind how many people don't think passed the end of their nose. When was the last time anyone received a credit card that was already activated? When was the last time the bank sent you a new client card with the pin in the same package?

Actually, most credit cards I have received have been already activated w/o calling the credit card company. Sure they have the sticker on em that says otherwise, but I've almost never had problems using the cards w/o calling the # on the sticker.

As for sending the pin in the same package, while it's true that the pin is always sent in a separate mailing, you don't need it as the default pin is easily derivable from the CC#. How stupid is that?
