tribes vengence thoughts??

Very hard to say. No more Dynamix and it's not going to be out until late '04 so you can assume it's going to be a whole new engine (thank God for that too). Otherwise, it's far too early to know and I think that people are going to be a little more subdued about it after the debacle that was the T2 release.

I wonder if it has "ragdoll" effects and deformable terrain? Haven't seen the demos yet.

OMG

This is EXACTLY what I have been telling a couple of my friends would be the ultimate game. A remade, prettier version of Tribes, not something totally different like Tribes 2.

I used to be a Tribes junkie with my best friend. I still contest it is the best game ever made.

I'm reading a couple previews and downloading a movie of it, but from reading, it looks like a game I will buy immediately when released.

On the Sierra website it says modified Unreal engine.

Another site gave high praise to the company that proposed the game, saying they are a good choice for it. Also said that they company rolled out a preview version at some LAN party, which gives me hope it will be true to the Tribes experience.

Jittles: I have a similar point of view, because I love Tribes 1 but don't really like Tribes 2 that much. I wish it were the old Dynamix....

And I hope they don't overdue the ragdoll stuff in the game...

As a former T1 junkie myself, I can only hope. T2 was such a major disappoint though, I'm just gonna wait and see how it all pans out.

Watchin' that movie brought back memories heh.

Googled Tribes Vengeance and found a ~20 mb .wmv file and now it doesn't come up in the search, weird.

But yeah the movies look like what a former tribes junkie would want 😀
