Tribes 2

Yah, signed up about 2 weeks ago. I haven't played Tribes 1 in a while, and just recently got bored/sick of Quake 3.

I was accepted for beta testing, but I think part of it has to do with me being part Western Alliance in Tribes 1 and certain influential people helping :Q (that's the face I wanted 😛)
 
I was reading a Tribes 2 messaage board and I heard they all ready sent out e-mail for the people who signed up and got picked. Because a mod on the board was telling people who got picked for beta testing to stop rubbing peoples nose in it that didnt get picked. :frown: If i was reading it right.

Possum, Cool. Ive been in the same clan for 2 years playing Quake2 and Tribes. I never got into Quake3. I thought Unreal Tournamnet was better so i played it instead. I did buy Quake3 though. I do believe I'll be looking for a new clan here soon. We have problems finding servers or the ones we come up with are too slow to pratice and have matchs on. I will tell you this it does rock going from a 56K modem to Cable Modem for online gaming! 😀

 
Why would you not be able to play tribes on your GeForce. I can play it on my G400. Just get like the latest patch and it has some Open GL support. Granted it is not the best but it sure beats software mode.

Well, with all the options turned on full, including weather, on a server with 30 people firing mortars, I get nearly 80 FPS OUTDOORS. 250+ at an inventory station.
You must be doign something wrong..even so, you should still get better FPS in Tribes than UT.

No, young one, I'm not trolling. I read a review of Tribes online that got me interested. I signed up for the beta (way late of course) and haven't heard back from them. On the application I said I'd make a great virgin tester (I know little about Tribes) but to no avail. Never had any intentions of buying Tribes 2 but who knows? There are other games coming out soon I'm far more interested in. Simply expressing my opinion and Tribes 2 &quot;story&quot;, not trolling, young one. 🙂
