Yea this is justice.
What would you suggest?
Not hardtime.

Very specific and regimented community service.

For 24 million $, that's not so bad.
There are no hard facts that state his networth. That figure is only utilized by the prosecution.

What are you in for:

Convict #1: I killed 4 people with my bare hands
Convict #2: I was the cleaner for the 2nd largest mafia family in newyork
Him: Uh.. i sent out e-mail to people offering to enlarge their penis while refinancing their morgage.

No, no, no!!! It's UP TO 750K/mo! That means anything from .01 on up.

It said from $400K-$750K.
In the first line it says

prosecutors say he grossed up to $750,000 per month
that's where I got the "up to" from.

BTW, I think this ruling (and this information) will make a lot more people try to be spammers - so expect an increase in the amount of spam you get.

Are you allowed to use computers & the internet when you're in jail ;) ?

It says up to in the first line but doesn't establish a lower limit. Later on it says:

But he earned $40 a pop, and the undertaking was so vast that Jaynes could still pull in $400,000 to $750,000 a month, while spending perhaps $50,000 on bandwidth and other overhead, McGuire said.

So he earned from $400K-$750K/month. :p

Why the fvck would you defend someone like that? Damn, that defense lawyer is an asshat.

Why would lawyers defend murderers or rapists? We are all innocent until proven guilty, and we all deserve to present a defense.

Not EVERYONE is innocent until proven guilty. There are those that should be shot by the side of the road when they are caught.

hope he gets a bunkmate who hates spam at the federal pound me in the ass prison

lawyers are like doctors, they are obligated to help. Granted this isn't always the case, but there are some who take it upon themselves (god bless them) to make sure everyone gets properly prosecuted under the law. EVERYONE is innocent until proven guilty, and america is built in such a way that we'd rather let 10 guilty men free by accident, then let one innocent man rot in jail. This isn't always the case, but is the founding principle.

jeez!...24million! its not gonna be 9yrs unless his lawyer is a dumbass...with the kind of money he has, plus on appeal, it'll be less than half that. With some luck he might even eventually get off...albeit fines, community service etc. But OMG...does he care, he doesn't have to work ever again!
