Treo deals

Contract ends with Sprint.

I'd much rather find the phone I want (a Treo of some sort, but preferably a 700 series or higher) and then go to whatever provider I pick.

Providers are making a killing on sales for these phones, so I want to escape that if possible. Only trouble is, I really have no idea where to start to look for an unlocked Treo.

Ebay hasn't really been all that much help either.

Is it impossible?

Amazon.com sells unlocked Treos... but they aren't cheap.

New Centro comes out on Sunday, $99 w/ two year contract and the $25 SERO plan.

And the deal requires a new activation.

Talk to them and tell them you're considering going to Cingular for the new Tilt ... ask them what it'd take to get the price as close to $99 as you can. *shrug* I personally enjoy Sprint, after having experienced Cingular.
