Have you guys ever used the Samsung i730?

It's not as new as the device above, but it has all the main features (except for 1xEVDO instead of EDGE but they are comparable).

Anyway, this was the first time I was using a touch-screen pda/smart phone...after reading about all the features...I was excited to use it...but once I did, I was quite dissappointed.

For one, its a pain to use the stylus...especially when scrolling down...the touch screen isnt very accurate. They really need to put the thumbwheel on the side, like how the BB's have it. Also, setting up WLAN was a pain as the device would always crash. And once I got it working, it would crash when I have to switch turn off WLAN and then manually turn on the EVDO stack (since you can't have WLAN and cellular protocol stack running at the same time). Also the battery life was horrible.

It was really a piss poor implementation of all those fancy features. And WLAN is a gimmick. The battery life when using WLAN is only a few hours.

I hope the above device isnt plagued with these problems. Especially the issue regarding WLAN. I've yet to find a smartphone/pda that integrated WLAN and cellular protocol stack (be it GSM or CDMA) correctly!

I like the new one from Sprint (its Sprint branded but I'm pretty sure its an HTC design--same people who make i-Mate Jam.)

It has Windows Mobile 5.0!

Sprint PPC-6700

edit: More details...

This is a rebranded HTC Apache according to Engadget.
Not sure if HTC makes a GSM version?
