Treo 650 GSM SHIPPING from palmone

for those that may have been waiting on teh Treo 650 GSM version, it's out.

unlocked $599 version

Locked $549 version

of course after rebates and a 2 year (completely st00pid) contract w/ Cingular - you can get it for $369 or $399? something like that.

Wouldn't the HP iPAQ h6315 be better than this since it has Wi-Fi also ? I believe the treos don't have it.

i wouldnt' ever need wifi in my portable device...too painful anything other than occasional web surfing. i guess it's nice to have the option though. i can access internet through the cell provider anyway so why bother looking for a hotspot? it's not THAT much faster for the tiny bits of data the phone pulls down.

for me form and function was much more important. built in keyboard is crucial in a device like this to use for email and web. that add on thing to the ipaq sucks. and the treo is such an intuitive and easy device to use...there is a reason it's so popular. personally i don't like pocketpc but i guess there are those that do.

I've had Windows CE devices, Pocket PCs, and most recently a Windows Smartphone.
The TREO 650 is the best device I have ever owned hands down.
