If you are a current customer and want to get a new phone, you should wait until your contract ends and threaten them to quit. I've received $100-175 credits to my account for $100-250 phone every year my contract ends.

BTW, I have cingular and they are the best so far here... my sister tried verizon and sprint and they have always sucked.

Cell phones company really depend on where you leave, not all service sucks everywhere.

I have the Sony Ericsson T68i from Dec 02... Gonna upgrade with Cingular with the next new toy. :D

Threatening to leave doesn't have the effect as it did before.
I have helped at least 5 friends who were long time Sprint customers to re-negotiate their contracts. Recently (after number portability became active), a friend of mine tried and he told me that they really did not even try to negotiate. Sprint may be winning big with number portability, so they're not all that interested in keeping old customers. I renegotiated twice in the past 3 years, so I've had my share, but just wanted to warn you that it's not as it used to be...

Folks.

GET THIS! The GSM Treos are few and far between. If Sprint is good in your area, then you CAN NOT BEAT THIS DEAL. THIS PHONE IS AWESOME!!!! I've had it since the $399 upgrade deal (about 2 days after it started), and it ROCKS. It's not perfect, but what phone is? Yeah, the screen sucks, and I did make the mistake of using my Treo 300 car charger on it (that hurt my battery life). And the camera needs a flash. But it still ROCKS! This will continue to be "THE PHONE" until the SGHi500 comes out.
