Treo 600 - Data connection

I have a treo with tmobile with the data connection feature.. Anyone know if you can hook this up to a notebook and use it like a modem ? I know some phone has it, not sure if its possible.. thanks

you need

a) a data plan
b) pdanet, a software program.

got a, even with pdanet, I'm assuming i need a cable to connect the two ? Ill go google for a while.. thanks.

my treo 600 came with a usb cable that connects to my laptop. for synching and it will work for data as well. i assume you should have it, otherwise you wouldn't be able to sync.

I use good technology, wireless sync.. that cable is bulky for travel so I'm going to order a retractable usb cable
