Trent Reznor's new band w/sample track

NIN has not broken up, they just aren't touring in the near future. Trent supposedly has a few new tracks already recorded as NIN but they probably wont see the light of day for awhile until this band takes off a bit I assume.

Yes he's married.

NiN broke up? Trent Reznor married? Have not followed that scene in a while.

NIN can't break up since it's just 1 guy

He won't do anymore live shows as NIN (supposedly), but has stated he will continue to make music as NIN

that said, I don't foresee angry dark NIN music until there's a divorce involved lol

Oh god. I think I crapped my pants when I saw that picture. Did anyone else see the South Park episode where Cartman makes a Christian rock band?

"You're supposed to be standing in random places, looking like you don't care. No, Butters, you can't look happy on the album cover; that's not cool"

Didn't think of it, but funny as hell...

OH MAN. these fuckers were good last night. first live show ever; tight as fuck, you would not have known it was their first show. Clearly TR is putting his concert experience to use.

If you're going to Coachella, Mojave tent on Friday @ Midnight.

I'm listening to this and it just sounds like a NIN cover band, except when Trent chimes in on the songs. Mariqueen has a nice voice, but there's nothing really special about it. I think I'd still see them live, but only because I have haven't had an NIN fix in 4+ years.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariqueen_Maandig

having just seen them...it's Ghosts/Slip with Mariqueen and a "live" band. the songs are quite stuck in my head today (how long?, welcome oblivion in particular)

it did not get my nin fix out. it barely scratched it, except to say that nobody does flashing lights like trent reznor. nobody.

You've never been to a Pink Floyd concert.

You've never been to a Pink Floyd concert.

I saw Roger Water's The Wall last year @ the coliseum; there is no doubt RW's latest setup is far superior to anything Pink Floyd has ever done (from a live show audio/visual standpoint).

I stand by my original statement.

Agree to disagree. Pink Floyd incorporation of visuals was amazing. Moment Factory, i mean NIN, is cool and all, but it's just not the same. Floyd was doing amazing stuff back in the early 90's.

I think (for me) the distinction is this:

RW had the most amazing live setup I've ever seen, very theatrical.

Reznor knows how to abuse the fuck out of strobe lights and screens and shit like no other artist. Literally, pretty lights exploding in my face. <3 pretty lights exploding in my face. LOL

I agree that what they are doing is awesome, but there's only so much strobe I can take and it starts to actually take away from the experience. I guess I more enjoy the theatrical concept when done right w/ lighting and it adds to the experience or tells a story. But yes, two different concept and delivery methods.

Glad the show was good. I saw they were going to play some shows and I was wondering how it would go.
