Tremendous Structure/Express Savings

I went to Structure (Basically the same now as Men's Express) today and found out about some tremendous savings that are available.

First off, let me note that solid color khaki shorts are on clearance for $15 and cargos are going for $19.50. Red line merchandise (pretty limited, but there's still some decent stuff) is <b>80% off the original price</b>. Those deals are good and warm, but not altogether hot. $10 off a belt w/ purchase of Express Jeans.

However, if you've shopped there recently, they've probably given you a 15% off coupon, which is a group discount on ANY item, whether it is sale or otherwise. The current one is good from July 28th - August 12th (which I think is no longer available at stores). If you don't have one, you might try telling them you know about it but just lost yours or something, and maybe they'll give you a break. You can go pick a new one up right now that will be good from Sept. 4-15.

You can get 15% off all purchases (including sale and redline merchandise) with that coupon. Then, if you don't already have a Structure card, you can sign up for one (with no startup charge or anything of the sort) and get an additional 15% off your entire purchase.

Today I got 5 pairs of shorts and 2 pairs of NICE blue jeans, and a shirt for $113.78, which should have been $150. If I discard the 80% dicount I got on the shirt, the entire purchase would have been $182 retail.

But the best part comes last. I'm not sure how long they're offering it, but for each $50 you spend, they'll give you a $25 coupon (called Express Fast Cash) that can be used on a purchase $50 and up. There are no limitations. Current ones are good August 5-17th (which overlaps the 15% off coupon by a few days). For instance, I got 2, so I can go puchase $100 worth or merchandise (pre-tax, net of discounts) for only $50. You may want to ask a person at your favorite Structure if they will be handing these out often (or, more importantly, in September when the next 15% coupon is good).

So, if you're in the market for a BUNCH of shorts or a whole new collection of jeans for the winter, I think now would be the time to hit Structure up.

Sorry if this seems long-winded, but the deals do take a bit of explaining. =) Good luck in getting cheap clothes!

Been going on for a long long long time. It's been thier ploy to get you to come back with that deal.

The other day I got three cargo pants for 80% off, all different colors for $6 a piece. Originally it was $49.50. These are pretty cool pants, comfortable, double thick, and with pockets above the knees. There were cargo shorts that where onsale for $19.50. I might go back and buy another of cargo pants and tailor them to cargo shorts.

These pants would be $5.10 with the 15% off coupon.

Bleh. I stopped wearing Structure 6 or 7 years ago. Put on a piece of Structure clothing, go to a public place, and I guarantee you that you'll see AT LEAST one other person wearing the same thing you're wearing.

I find it very amusing that there's always someone to hate everything thing that's talked about in OT...this car sucks, those clothes are "ghey"...

I don't have a problem saying that I like their clothes, their newer stuff is decidely more dressy, and that's how I like my clothes. I'll dress just as punk or whatever as the next guy some days, but I also like clothes like Structure/Express. Although, these days I'm shopping more at Club Monaco or something. I don't see why you can't wear a shirt just because the freakin TAG says Express...glad to see you're so secure about things like that...

<sigh> This forum...

oh crap. I gain freaking 60 pounds in the last 7 months. Now I am too embarass to go shopping since I am so FAT. Anyone know a good plan to lose weight? I don't want to hire a personal trainer since the last one I had kept trying to sell me supplement in every session and our 1 hour appointment only last 30 minutes. When I start running, I can't do it long or hard since both of my angles are killing me( I sprained them around 7 months ago when I was playing basketball and they won't heal anymore like they used to....i am getting old). The only "sport" i play is golf. And i have to be my friend's best man on April.

I picked up a pair of jeans and 3 shirts for under $80 after all was said and done. I've been very very reluctant to shop Structure/Express since the switch over last year but with as cheap as everything is and some of the crazy coupons I've gotten in the mail and the Fast Cash, it makes sense to buy stuff there. (It'll be cheaper than anything I could buy at Kmart or Target or Walmart) Now I gotta wait for the sales-taxless Texas weekend to get here and I'll get it tax free too :)

One fun way to excersize for me, (and excersize is a pretty rare thing for me, well, is typing an excersize?), is if you like video games at all is DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for the PS2, it will make you burn ALOT of calories and will probably great (or bad, hehe) for your heart.
Only bummer for me is I'm having to sell my PS2 to pay for my Xbox, no more excersize for me.

THis has gotten OT, but I have some things to say. I went to the Structure/Express at the Valley Fair mall in San Jose today. I bought 2 colored high quality polo shirts for $15/each and then a pair of cargo shorts for $15.50. The shorts are normally $39. This is a HOT Deal, plus I got a coupon for the sale in September. They had a lot of style still left in stock, so it's not too late yet.

Thanks for all the help with this :)
