Travolta Says He Never Knew He Became 'Uncool'

WELL, her cetainly became cool again after pulp fiction...but i think it's safe to say he's regained his "uncool" status recently! phew! close one!

<< Building his reputation as Hollywood's comeback kid, "Look Who's Talking" eventually made $450 million, of which Travolta collected a cool $150 million through a profit-sharing agreement. >>

Man what moron offered 35% of the gross revenue. I feel sorry for the guys that made the movie they must of lost there shirt.

His Uncool Years were probably spent in a drugged out drunken stupor. So, yes, he probably never realized his becoming Uncool. 😀

Hmm, I don't get what everyone hates so much about Battlefield Earth. Sure, it wasn't the original Star Wars or some other precedent setting genious of a movie, but it was decent and the acting was decent. Anyone have any opinions as to why it sucked?

Anyone have any opinions as to why it sucked?

a few plot holes but thats true with every movie.

i think the critics hated it so everyone repeated their opinion verbatim, creating a never-ending spiral of blabbering about how it sucked for no real reason.

<< about how it sucked for no real reason >>

Oh jesus christ c'mon! That movie was worse than that we did in seventh grade in school! Seriously! We had better special effects in it too.

Battlefield Earth is one of the most sucky movies ever filmed! It's plot had more holes in it than all M$ software put together!

It was embarrassing to watch.. ..those characters.. oh man I laughed!

Not really. I usually take the critics in the exact opposite way. They love foreign art films and disney flicks, yet hate action movies. I'm the exact opposite. So when I saw Battlefield earth, I was giving it a chance. I thought travolta overacted, I didn't care for the main character at all, thought the dialog was cheesy, and I thought the plot was terrible. I *wanted* to be entertained, but it just didn't happen. I saw it several times (gotta love the campus movie channel at school) and never changed my opinion.

I like Travolta, who the heck cares if he is 'cool'? I mean come on, if he can act and if he picks good movies then great. Cool is such a stupid title...

Travolta may have been unpopular or out of the public eye for a while, but anyone who owns & flies his own Lear Jet is cool (and he's been doing that for decades).

I saw battle field earth and found it mildly entertaining. I don't think it was the worst movie I have ever seen by a long shot. For the amount of $ they put into making and producing it, it sucked total a$$.

I think he took too many crappy roles in the past few years. That's what made him un cool. I liked him in "Michael" and "Face Off" but that's about it. I think Battlefield Earth was the steak in the heart for his popularity.
