anyone know which of the above is good or the $100 credit is better?
I used to live in London, though I can't actually place most of these hotels, the ones in Kensington would be a nice place for a tourist. Kensington is fairly central. The Thistle hotel is near where I used to live, it is pretty nice and in a very good location.
Last x-mas I stayed at the Plaza on Hyde Park... very modern hotel design in a large building... it was very ice hotel, big clean bright room, free breakfast, and a 24 hour internet cafe about 2 blocks down thats open 24/7 (I went there on Christmas day when everything else was closed)
If anyone actually does this, please report back how much it actually cost in total - including taxes, airport fees, and whatever else they sneak in there.
Since this is through the actual airline company, I would imagine it may be a little bit more reputable in special flight deals than other internet agencies and such. Anyone deal with BA before?
I've done one of these BA flight+hotel deals before. Good deal, nice hotel (can't remember which one though). Hotel included continental breakfast (which is of little use if you wake up hungry in the morning!).
heh of course man. This is an East Coast deal. You have to add 3k miles more for your trip. But I imagine you can get great deals to Alaska, Hawaii, Asia, and Australia, and Afghanistan.
If only we had Cuba - it would be Hawaii for the East Coast (but we'd have to figure out what to do with all the Cubans first)
QUOTE: I priced a trip from San Francisco and it came out to be 1800 for two people.
That's strange. The BA Web site says that the fare each way from SF is $194. That's $85 more per person each way. 2 round trips per person = $340 more than the price would be using the fare each way for the original post.
Something doesn't add up or you've found the hidden costs. What are they?
DARNED ITALICS WON'T TURN OFF....GRRRRR!
I just turned off the WYSIWG Editor. Maybe this'll work now.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Kensington a couple of years ago. Great location, typical American style Holiday Inn (which is good thing!). Regular rate was $220 I think, but they take Entertainment Club cards so I got it for 50% off. It was by far the best value I could get in London at the time.
