So I be on the move for the next couple of months for training and won't have anything but 3 suitcase, 2 carry-ons, gaming console, and a laptop. I need a few recommendations for a good computer build

1. Mid-range gaming. Most importantly it need it needs to be portable and small enough to fit inside a nice suitcase (26"x18"x12"). I been looking at a Mini-ITX build.

2. Budget - Not really of concern but keep it realistic.

3.USA.

5. Best in the class but the video card has to be AMD (Fanboy).

6. I have a XFX Double-D 7970 GHz edition laying around i can use. I also can slap in some Corsair memory too. I also been thinking about using a ASUS Maximus VII impact and add a Intel 4690K to it.

7. No overclocking involved.

8. 1080p nothing special.

9. Will be trying to build it within a week.

Also if someone can recommend me a good and very thin monitor i can use that has a HDMI port on it (plan on connecting my PS4 to it).

Even if it fit, you won't want that big power hungry video card in your mini-ITX build..

So you'll be lugging a medium-sized computer, and a monitor, and a PS4 around too? This sounds unrealistic.

You didn't list a budget, so what would you think of getting an up-to-$2000 Dell Alienware gaming laptop which has an HDMI-in port for your PS4?

This is definitely possible, but to help you fit everything in, let me give you a few tips:

(1) The 7970 is a no-go. Open air and far too large for most ITX cases that would fit in a suitcase.
(2) The Maximus VII Impact is good for one and only one thing: overclocking. That's not your goal, so it's off the list.

I'd be looking at a Silverstone SG05 paired up with one of the smaller GTX 970 cards (like Zotac, Gigabyte's ITX card, or EVGA - all 9.5" long or smaller). Go with an ASRock or MSI Z97 board for around $140, a 4690K, a 256GB-512GB SSD, and you're set. Will be about $1,000, assuming you can use your Corsair RAM and already have Windows.

the dell s2340l is very light and small and takes apart fairly well. It's ips and quite cheap. You just have to be able to deal with glare as there's no anti-glare coating on it. Just an idea as most of the nicer monitors are pretty heavy and bulky.

Also, I don't see why you couldn't put the 7970 into a cm elite 130. I'm pretty sure it's been done before..

The Elite 130 can definitely fit a 7970, but whether it's something you'd want in a suitcase is a different question entirely. Definitely something for the OP to consider.

To be quite frank I wouldn't want to be carrying around a mini ITX with me from location to location. Especially if you're traveling around a fair bit for air since they want laptops to be powered on nowadays I have no idea how TSA will receive something like a small PC, my guess is it'll be a pain in the butt. This is one of those cases where I'd recommend going with a gaming laptop that has HDMI in on it as I wouldn't want to be carrying around an LCD as well.
