Travel/Cancellation Insurance with poll

I'm going on a 4 day cruise in a few months. Cruise cost is $502. Insurance costs $42. Covers cancellation due to injury, sickness or death in immediate family. Also covers treatment if injured during trip.

Anyone ever bought this and/or had to use it?

we bought it for a flight to florida. due to family emergencies we had to cancel the trip.

although the reimbursement process was the biggest pain in the ass we've ever experienced, it was still worth the $14.

imo, if you're going to spend $502 anyway, what's another $42 to make sure you can get the $502 back just in case.

Definitely think it's worth it.

Gonna lose out on a hotel reservation cuz I didn't spend the 15$ for the insurance 🙁

a cruise is one of the rare times that buying that type of insurance is probably a good idea

I purchased it the last time we went on a trip and it cost $150, since we were doing so much. I'm not paying it for this summer's vacation. If I get sick I believe my current insurance pays some, and I will definitely not be cancelling for any reasonable reason, so I just don't care to.

in only buy it for expensive trips. if its a weekend trip to vegas or a trip to florida, then no.
