Why do those that live in dangerous and well-known shitty places insist they don't?

Our neighborhood is nothing but new houses. It's not a ghetto but our neighbors obviously are aware their dogs crap on our yard and, since she saw my wife coming home and quickly called the dog back into the house, don't care that their dogs do it either.

You have some amazing hearing. Racking the slide on a glock is very quiet.

Do you have a Glock? I would disagree with your statement.

Plus, it's a very distinct sound.

No different sound then my XD, my Walther, or my ruger. And not loud enough that my wife has heard me when I'm in the next room.

Plus, glocks (and any pinfired weapon) simply does not click. There's no hammer to pull back for that click. It racks, which is nowhere near the sound of a click.

Now a shotgun, or a AR-15 is a noise I could hear though a wall.

Rack, click, shake, rattle, roll - whatever you want to call it - we heard some kind of noise when he was threatening her with it out in our hallway.

Why can't landlords be selective on who they let in? I don't understand that part. At the new place we're going, the landlord was very selective; he wanted to see my credit report, called up the references I put down on the application and spoke with them for a few minutes, and ran a background check.

Why don't you just write a nice letter explaining how their behavior is affecting their life and you can hear everything that is going on? Post it on their door. Every day. When it's gone. Post it again. And again.

They won't kill you, especially if you have already notified the cops. Dumbass boyfriend is most likely just trying to intimidate his skanky girlfriend.

In the front yard?

And how do we block the sidewalk?

My wife suggested putting up stakes and string then putting up a sign that says "The No-Shit Zone."

Yep. I had the same problem and I put up a hedge of boxwoods along the parameter of my front yard.

No pics, and she's not hot.

Then the best thing is to stay as far out of it as you can. If she was hot and there was nookie potential it might be a different story.

Did you have it surveyed first? What I'm asking is, what parameters did you use to determine the perimeter of your front yard? ;)

You heard some kind of noise? How do you know its a gun then if you don't know the difference between cocking back a hammer and racking a slide?

That, and its all the same to me. Racking the slide on a semi-auto perhaps is quiet, but if you let it slam home, the sound is very distinctive.

Personally, I'd head over to your mom's NOW. You wouldn't want a potential stray round coming into your apartment or possibly getting into an altercation with the neighbors. Its only a few weeks and who cares if you're grown. Its not like you're a 30 year old living in the basement because you work at the local comic book store.

EDIT: Pics? Of your wife or the skanky neighbor.

Oh, and get your wife over the paranoia of guns. They are a tool, if anything, she should be paranoid of their owners.
