Does this one work decent?

I had played with Glass2k a while back and it was unstable and slow so I dropped it.

4 min.
The time it took me to get this thing to crash explorer.exe

12 min.
The time it took me to get sick of this "cute" little application.

Looks cool and all, but the performance hit on the GUI + the couple of times I was able to crash it just doesnt make it worth while to me. I'm the kind of guy who turns off the fade effects on the popup/start menu and sets them to load in 50ms. because I want my GUI to be as fast as possible.

Ah, well, I didn't play with it long enough to discover any instability, but I didn't find it all that useful, because large transparent windows are very slow when moved or otherwise manipulated, and because I can already get stable and fast menu transparency and window shadows this way.

Is there any program out there that doesn't make your system slow as sh1t where you can have transparent windows? I saw someone doing this on a linux box the other day and it seemd like it worked really well...

I always have to view pdfs and i hate switchin back and forth between windows cuase I always forget what I was going to do or write down and I have to go back and look at it again...

CrazyDe1: dual monitors might be a better idea than transparent windows if you're sick of swapping between windows ;)

Yeah..the problem is I don't do any of my work in 1 location and I only use a laptop so that's not really an option...I am running at 1400x1050 though. It's so terrible going back to a smaller resolution...
