Transmitting wireless with a wired connection?

Hey guys, I am hoping someone can tell me if this is possible under Windows XP. I have an internal NIC on my motherboard which is receiving my wired cable modem connection. In the same computer, I also have a wireless 802.11g NIC. Is it possible for the wireless NIC to transmit a wireless signal somehow? I want to test out the WiFi support on my new Axim X30 PDA and was wondering if this was even possible? If not this way, in any configuration? Thanks in advance!

I do not know how the Axim works.

If you have second computer (or PDA) that have a Wireless Card and if both Wireless cards can be set to Ad-Hoc mode (read the card manuals) then they should be able to talk one to the other.

I have the onboard wired NIC which is receiving an IP from my router and my wireless card running in Ad-Hoc mode. My PDA picks up the wireless connection but I can't get any internet access. How do I make the wired NIC and wireless NIC work in conjunction so that it broadcasts a wireless signal that I can get internet access with?

Thanks for your help so far. I am running under Windows XP, not 98. Which connection do I enable for sharing? When I enable sharing on the wireless connection, it gives me an IP address conflict error. When I try to share the wired connection, it tells me that "A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing".

Interesting, I did everything just as it says on that page. My PDA picks up the ad-hoc network perfectly but the wireless card keeps dropping the connection and not holding. I think it may be a problem with this cheap Trendware card...
