Translucent Pink Case?

just buy a clear case and stick it in a giant bucket filled with water and red dye. after a day or 2, it should be pretty pink.

or you can spray paint the inside with a thin coat of pink

ive never heard of dying the plastic, although that sounds interesting. does that require a certain type of dye?

Haven't seen a pink acrylic case either, but perhaps you could use a clear acrylic case and install some pink CCFLs.

i dont really know of what type of dye, but i know that's how some transparent screens get their color. food coloring has a strong build to it, but i'm not very sure how well it bonds to plastic. i recommend you trying red hair dye and soak the plastic in 3 parts of water per 1 part of dye. that should work very well.

I built one for my daughter a couple years back. Translucent pink case, keyboard, speakers and mouse. You could even purchase a translucent pink monitor from them as well. I'll see if I can find a link to where I purchased them from.

Well, good news and bad news.

The good news is that I was able to find my old sales receipt and construction sheet on my daughter's comp. The company that sold it to me (back in 2001) was called JNR Marketing, Inc out of California.

The bad news is that I can't locate them on the web so I assume they went under a long time ago. Also, The build sheet lists it as a TH-76 F and I was able to find THIS website which stocks different colors, but not pink. Red was the closest they came.

Perhaps if you contacted www.suntekgroup.com and ask them, they might have a small supply of pink panels laying around.

swear i've seen a totally clear pink case before. add cold cathodes and it'll be very pink., eh get a part blue one and add pink cathodes or something
