A sign has appeared in the lobby of my apartment block.

However, I don't understand what it means. And it looks like it might be important.

Please help a concerned, and curious, resident.

Do not leave (big) cardboard boxes and glass in the hallway. Take them to the garbage collection centre! Thank you for your cooperation.

PS, it's written in very crappy Mandarin.

it's mandarin, and traditional character set. Don't worry, the PRC isn't coming to get you, it's just the taiwanese or some chinese that moved here before the PRC went simplified.

Beyond that I can only recognize some of the characters. I quit studying the language many years ago, and wasn't fluent when I did.

Who's got a translation for that? :p

just go to babelfish and put in a random sentence that makes sense and then translate it back and forth a time or 2 between english and chinese/japanese.

I completely forgot what I first put in, but it ended up as this after 4 back-and-forth translations:
In regard to the meat there is a black dog where the fact which is liked can eat me.
