Im wondering if there is a way to translate a song into a another language. It will problably come out wrongly translated and/or weird tone of voice, but I want it for some simple sampling.

Is there a way to do this?

Translating spoken text is hard enough. Sung words? Probably not too likely.

Though I suppose you could try to get in on the Skype Translator beta. It may not be accurate, but it would probably be hilarious.

Changing lyric languages requires re-writing in most cases. Eample . . . Solamente Una Vez is a song in Spanish - translated it means Only Once or One Time. The English title is, You Belong to My Heart. Lyrics are poetry and poetry defies translation because the result would not b poetic.

There are songs that exist that have been translated from english to spanish using a certain technology. Look it up.

The burden of proof is on you. Do you have a link to an example? If so, you have answered your own query.

I do not know the software used exactly. Tried looking it up but nothing...

Prodigy - "ABC"

You still don't provide a link to the lyrics.

But why do you want/need the lyrics to the song to what I am asking? All Im looking is for software to convert a song and I posted a song which has gone thru this process...

I need to see evidence that the song is a translation and not a rewrite expressing somewhat similar thoughts. Poetry cannot be translated and still be poetic. Neither can song lyrics. Show me the evidence.

What makes you think that an automated program was used to translate that song to a different language? As far as I can tell, it's only just barely English in the first place so any translation program would have a very difficult time doing anything useful with the words, even if you gave it the written text of the lyrics. There's no way any automatic program could translate the spoken/sung song itself.

No offense but if you guys dont know or if you dont know how the technology works, you might not reply instead of saying "I need x" which isnt really needed.

Im not saying it in a bad way Im just saying you dont have to reply to everything if you have no idea what someone is talking about.

Yes, there are word finders that can help create song versions from one language to another - but they are not translations. Here is a very clear example. There is a popular German hiking song who's title translates to "The "Happy Wanderer." The first line is like this:

"Mein Vater war ein Wandersmann, Und mir steckt's auch im Blut"

The translation is, "My father was a wanderer, so that is in my blood."

But, the English version is changed - it is not a translation: "I love to go a wandering, along the mountain track."

The problem is that the words must fit the music.

Yes, there is software that can help with lyrical rewrites to other languages, but they are aids to creating a version, not necessarily a translation

I'm not saying there is no software to help do this - merely articulating the problem and why that is not easy.

You can find a translation of Tony Bennet's clkassic, " Left My Heart in San Francisco," but you can't sing it because the words don't fit the music.

Anyway, this is just such an aid: http://en.softonic.com/s/lyrics-translation
