Transformers - The Movie question...

guys, is there any episode or continuing series of this? Does optimus come back to life?.....BTW who is your favorite autobot?.......Mine is Optimus Prime hands down

Yes, the series continued after the movie with Rodimus Prime for awhile. In one of them they stumble upon the tomb of Optimus and other autobots. They revived him with the Matrix and he turned evil. You can find alot of these complete episodes on Kazaa or Morpheus.
 
umm there was a whole series on tv before the movie came out and they continued after Hot Rod had taken over, including a bunch of episodes with the return of Optimus prime and the evil optimus Prime and what not.
There was also a couple of cartoons a couple of years ago and today that are kind of remakes, one with animals called Beast Wars and there is another one currently running that I'm not sure about. I loved the original, and I genuinely like Beast wars, but I haven't seen the current one, but I have heard it sux.

The Transformers movie tells of what happened between season 2 and season 3.

All sorts of weird things went on in season 3, with StarScream's ghost and other strange stuff, before Optimus Prime was brought back to life at the end of season 3 in 2 part "The Return of Optimus Prime"...a story about an inter-galactic disease which made everyone fight against each other.

The last "straight US" episodes were 3 episodes entitled "Rebirth", for season 4.

This one introduced the HeadMasters and Target Masters.

Transformers cartoons then pretty much stopped in the US, but continued in Japan. The Japanese series continued pretty much where The Return of Optimus Prime left off, but completely ignores what happened in Rebirth.

Transformers in Japan continued with the HeadMasters series, MasterForce series, and Victory series.

Although Victory is the shortest (with only 32 episodes...both HeadMasters and MasterForce had 40+ eps), it is acclaimed as by far the best ever Transformers series according to fans.

There were a few more Japanese Transformers shows with a long lull, and then both the US and Japan jumped back in with the Beast Wars transformers. Currently showing is what is entitled "Car Robots" in Japan, AKA "Robots in Disguise" in the US.

I have never seen this version, but I hear there is a Transformers The Movie version where Hot Rod says "Sh!t. I had heard that this was the version in theaters and then in the video and DVD release, they edited it. Anyone have a bootleg copy?
 
They version you are refering to is the one that was released in Canada. If you can find a tape from Canada it is slightly different and has the swear words. My roommate has it.

for bonus points. Who did the voice of the head Junkion?

The DVD I got from Netflix was not edited. He said sh!t in it. I posted about this after I watched it...here 🙂
 
my fav autobot is bumblebee... just becuz he is a little scrapper that always gets his butt kicked. and he also said "oh sh!t" in the movie 😀

my fav transformer was devastator. i don't see hw anyone could kick his ass... he's way too cool 😛
 
Yeah, I was confused. I thought I owned it on DVD. But I own GI Joe and my friend owns Transformers. I'm going to borrow it. Just because it's one of those that I need to see on disc.
 
heh i have the movie. when i watched it was suprissed when he said S*it.

i was a big fan of the transformers cartoon, comic and toys. i have all the Comics most of the toys.

when i turned 15 (got a license to drive at 14) i got a yellow vw bug. i had a guy i knew that owned a body shop paint the auto bots symbole on the hood 😀

My wife thinks im nuts cause i spent $100 buying an orginal Octomus prime figure that is like 18" high heh
